The IRS ‘Where’s My Refund?’ tool allows taxpayers to access their tax return and refund status anytime. Use this link to get refund information about your federal income tax return through the IRS’s secure website. Information is typically available within 24 hours of electronically filing your return.
You will need the information listed below to access your current return:
- Your social security number or
- Individual Taxpayer Identification Number
- Your filing status
- The exact whole dollar amount of your expected refund
We have prepared this checklist for our clients to us as a reference in compiling tax documents to provide our office for tax return preparation. We understand that gathering the information needed can oftentimes be a daunting task. All of the items listed will not be applicable to every taxpayer; however, this is a broad listing of the most commonly used income and deduction information in preparing individual tax returns. Tennessee Taxpayer Access Point (TNTAP) allows taxpayers to electronically file tax returns, gain access to tax accounts, and perform a variety of other tasks.
Use the Tennessee Secretary of State business information search to check your company’s status. This link can also be used to file your company’s annual report.
In order to ensure that all client information is up to date, we ask that you please fill out the client information sheet to provide with your tax information for each filing year. We use this form to ensure that all of your information in our database is current. If you are a new client, please also provide us with a copy of your prior year’s tax return.
